The Raven

Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
`Wretch,' I cried, `thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he has sent thee
Respite - respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore!
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Lenore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'

  1. I read that last year, not really a fan of Poe, but I must say I enjoyed that.
I'm a big fan of gothic in general, there's so much spooky fun to be had in so many short stories.
Did you do the drawing yourself? If so, I'm impressed, and it does really well to reflect the gothic genre.

  2. I know, thats why i'm more inspired by the darker side of life, way more fun! Yeah did this on a scrap piece of wood with ink and watered down paint. Wanted to try something a little different, because people usually go all tim-burton on old Poe. Glad you like it.
